Another Orbit

The room is quiet,
the night still warm,
a cup beside me,
the curtains drawn.

Nothing is calling
my name out loud.
No bells are ringing.
No gathered crowd.

Just one more circle
under this sky,
one more small season
passing me by.

Another orbit,
another year,
not a beginning,
not an ending here.

I don’t need answers.
I don’t need signs.
I’ll keep this small light
and call it mine.

Some roads went nowhere.
Some doors stayed closed.
Some days were heavier
than anyone knows.

Still, there were mornings.
Still, there was rain.
Still, I kept learning
my own quiet name.

I won’t make promises
I cannot keep.
I’ll leave some questions
where they can sleep.

Another orbit,
another year,
not a beginning,
not an ending here.

I don’t need answers.

Maybe tomorrow
will look like today.
Maybe the stars won’t
show me the way.

That’s all right.
I can still move.

I’ll see what the light becomes.
I’ll see what becomes of me.

No ceremony.
No grand design.

Just one more morning.
And this life is mine.

まだ名前のない朝

カーテンの隙間から
夜が少しずつほどけていく

湯気の向こうで
時計だけが
今日を明日へ運んでいる

誰かに見せるためじゃなく
誰かに証明するためでもなく

私は今日も
ここにいる

また　一周

名前をつけなくてもいい
大きな始まりじゃなくていい
終わりでもない

窓辺に置いた小さな灯りを
今日もそっと受け取る

それだけで
今日は十分だ

思うように歩けた日も
立ち止まった日もある

風の強い夜も
言葉を失くした朝もある

それでも季節は巡って
お茶は湯気を立て

鳥は空を横切る
世界は急がず

私も急がなくていい

明日が
今日と同じでもいい

違ってもいい

答えは
あとから追いついてくることもある

また　一周
また　空は明るくなる

何者かになるためじゃなく
何かを越えるためでもなく

この灯が
どこまで届くのか

歩きながら
見ていこう

静かな朝だ

それだけでいい

私は
この時間を受け取る
